New felt & battens to main roof in Coychurch

A new customer approached us and asked us to quote for a new main roof at their home in Coychurch, after a site survey it was reported that the existing tiles were still in excellent condition, so we quoted to renew the felt and battens to the property and reinstall the existing tiles, which the customer accepted.

Our scaffolding division arrived on site and erected scaffolding around the perimeter of the house to enable our fitting team easy and safe access to the roof.

Our fitting team arrived on site and within two days the main roof was stripped, new felt and battens were installed and the existing tiles replaced, new ridges were supplied and fitted and CGF Roofing has another happy customer with a 10 year guarantee.

Weather

Well I would like to ask everyone to stop doing the rain dance now as our customers have been very patient with us so far but we want to start completing more work now.

So no more Dancing!

PLEASE!

To all our customers

To all our customers,

I would like to thank you all for your patience through this trying time.

As you can appreciate the weather has caused us untold problems, we cannot start any roofs until the weather breaks, we are trying slowly to work through our working schedule, and as always all projects are booked in on a first come first booked basis, regardless of size or value, and please rest assure we are getting through the list and closer to you.

As we are a reputable company we will not open any roof space in wet conditions as this will cause problems later on down the road, for example, we open a roof in light rain, while we remove the existing roof covering it is still raining, we then refelt and batten, which then makes the roof water tight, we tile, clean up and everything looks lovely, a few week later you will start to notice discolouring in the ceiling, this has been caused by the rain soaking your attic space and working its way through to your ceiling.

This is why we will not start a roof in wet conditions.

Please rest assure we are doing all we can and once again we thank you for your patience and help through this difficult time.

We will contact each customer in advance to inform you when we will be arriving at your premises to start your works.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us here at the main office in Bridgend.

Many thanks,

Steve
